3, Ireland’s mobile media network, has appointed Elaine Carey head of sales. She will head up 3’s retail operation and the planned rollout of new 3Stores nationwide, all of its third-party resellers and its online sales channel at www.three.ie. Heading up a salesforce of over 80 staff, one of Carey’s key objectives will be to increase the current number of 3 retail stores across Ireland to 28 by the end of 2007. In addition, she will drive customer acquisition across all customer touchpoints, identifying key strategic partnerships and ultimately building 3’s market share in the Irish marketplace. Caoimhe Lynch joins PC Cubed as account manager. She has spent the past seven years working as a senior account manager with Clarity where she worked with key clients such as PFH, EDS and Business Scientific Services. Lynch was also with Dell for three years working in both consumer notebook sales and financial services where she was selling finance direct to consumers in the UK for the purchase of their PC. Her role at PC Cubed will see her managing a dedicated account base ensuring that customers are kept up to date with product information. Kieran McInerney has been appointed operations director at PC Cubed, a trade-only distributor for electronic point of sale and mobile computing. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the company from previous roles and qualifications such as a management diploma in ICT and sales management coaching. McInerney is also a qualified cost accountant. He previously held leading roles in Clarity Distribution where he was responsible for pre and post hardware sales for HP, Toshiba, O2 and Acer.
