3, Ireland’s mobile media network, has appointed Elaine Carey head of sales. She will head up 3’s retail operation and the planned rollout of new 3Stores nationwide, all of its third-party resellers and its online sales channel at www.three.ie. Heading up a salesforce of over 80 staff, one of Carey’s key objectives will be to increase the current number of 3 retail stores across Ireland to 28 by the end of 2007. In addition, she will drive customer acquisition across all customer touchpoints, identifying key strategic partnerships and ultimately building 3’s market share in the Irish marketplace. Prior to joining the network, she was head of Eircom IT products and services and before that was based in the Caribbean as head of sales and distribution at Digicel.
